STRIPPING EVERYTHING BACK

It's always good to go back to basics. Sometimes, to go forward in development you have to strip everything back.

We're still till using temporary basic assets here but I've been learning a lot! The next few weeks will be exciting. Complete levels here I come!

It's a huge privilege to be chosen for this amazing event and we're so excited. We really can't wait to get the game finished and ready for everyone to play.

Yesterday I headed out for some new

inspiration for the Forrest of ELK.

This is Linn Park in Glasgow. I've been coming here since I was 3 years old and I love it.

It has an amazing forrest and is perfect for the inspiration I need for ELK. I was looking for some slow camera movements to mimic the ones in Unity. Didn't need to be perfect, just needed some solid inspiration. Check out the quick results below.

GDC TIME

So our trip to San Francisco was amazing! Though we still have jet lag after a week back in Scotland...

Run to Idle, so happy

We are running towards the goal lines hard at Wee Door to get ELK in a playable state. 

Having little development victories like this are really helping keep the confidence in the project going!

STOP FRAME

We have some test stop frame animations for you to see!

This means we no longer have to use our elk placeholder art. Happy days!

LEGS

I love these wee legs!  

I'm so happy I wanted to use traditional stop frame animation for our ELK characters. 

To me this is magic.
